Bellevue Medical Center to Host Second Annual “Green” Health Fair

This spring, Bellevue Medical Center will again host a health fair with a unique twist.  The hospital plans to mix several green-themed booths and activities in with traditional health fair screenings and information at the area’s only “Green” Health Fair.

The idea behind the green theme is to promote a healthier community by drawing a connection between environmental health and physical health. 

The fair will be held at Bellevue Medical Center on Saturday, May 19, from 8 to 11 a.m.  Visitors are encouraged to use the main entrance on the campus where they can get an event list and directions to the booths they are interested in visiting.

The event will offer both free and reduced cost screenings, some of which require pre-registration to guarantee availability. People will have the opportunity to take part in diabetes, cancer and circulatory screenings, among others.

Most of the screenings will be done by doctors and nurses who practice at Bellevue Medical Center or in its adjacent medical office building.

Aside from the vital health information available through screenings, attendees also have the chance to learn about renewable energy and environmental health.
