
Freely Accessible Facility
Bellevue Medical Center provides an open and freely accessible facility for all people and complies with all federal, state, and local mandates which apply to accessibility. 
- When a patient enters (or plans to enter) Bellevue Medical Center (clinic, inpatient, outpatient, etc.) a screening will be completed to determine any special accommodations, equipment needs or service animal requirements.
- Staff or patients may request interpretive services, sign language interpreters, or TDD phones. If requested, we will make very attempt to provide interpretative services to the hearing impaired spouse/coach of women in active labor.
- Service for Interpretive Services can be arranged by the staff for the patient by calling 402 763-3060
- Persons that are deaf or hard of hearing contact Bellevue Medical Center by dialing 402 763-3344 (TTY).
- Closed caption television is available.
- Way finding assists include braille utilized in signage, audibles for elevators reaching floors.
- Emergency alarms include both overhead pages, buzzes and strobe lights activated during fire emergencies.
- A “Notice of Program Accessibility” is posted at the hospital front desk.
- It will be the process of Bellevue Medical Center that every effort will be made to ensure that patients with sensory disabilities are given this information in a format which can be interpreted by the individual.
